Are You Sure Thailand Is Safer Than Cambodia? π°ππ°π
For years, some Thai people have called Cambodia “Scambodia” and labeled it as a country of scams, human trafficking, and kidnappings. These stereotypes have been used to damage our reputation.
But here’s the truth.
Cambodia is growing every day. As a developing nation, our government and our people are working hard to build a better future. We are known for our kindness, unity, resilience, and hospitality. These values are why Cambodia will continue to rise, just as our ancestors built the great Khmer Empire. We will never return to the darkness of the Khmer Rouge.
When a Singaporean woman was reported missing and believed to be in Cambodia, many rushed to judge and spread rumors. But the truth is, she came to Cambodia to explore and because of personal family issues, not because of scams or crime. Instead of judging, Cambodians showed kindness, helped search for her, and she was found safe.Yet Cambodians came together with compassion, helped in every way they could, and she was found safe.
At the same time, crimes can happen in every country. For example, there have been cases where foreign visitors in Thailand became victims of violent crimes, including a case involving two Russian tourists who were reportedly killed during a robbery over a motorcycle. Does that mean Thailand is an unsafe country?
No country is perfect! not Cambodia, not Thailand, not anywhere else. Instead of spreading rumors and tearing others down, let’s focus on making our own countries better.
You may try to pull Cambodia down a hundred times, but we will rise a million times, not because we want to defeat anyone, but because resilience, kindness, and unity are part of who we are.
Be kind. Be truthful. Be respectful.
"Time reveals the truth. Cambodia will keep rising" π°π❤️
