Following the World Heritage Committee's adoption of the resolution condemning the destruction of World Heritage properties during armed conflict, the Thai delegation did not directly address the destruction of cultural heritage allegedly caused by the Thai military. Instead, it defended its position by stating that Thailand remains focused on protecting the buffer zones surrounding heritage sites and will continue to cooperate with countries in the region.
