Dear Oversea Friends,
Have you ever heard of the Five Precepts (PaΓ±cha SΔ«la)?
In Buddhism, the Five Precepts are the most basic and essential ethical guidelines that every lay Buddhist is encouraged to practice in daily life. They are not commandments, but voluntary training principles that help us live with wisdom, compassion, and peace.
They are:
1️⃣ To refrain from killing living beings.
2️⃣ To refrain from taking what is not given.
3️⃣ To refrain from sexual misconduct.
4️⃣ To refrain from false speech.
5️⃣ To refrain from using intoxicants that cloud the mind.
Are you satisfied with your daily routine?
