 «ស្បៃ» ក្នុងចម្លាក់នៅប្រាសាទអង្គរវត្ត [English below]

ចម្លាក់នេះស្ថិតនៅថែវខាងជើងស្លាបខាងកើតនៃប្រាសាទអង្គរវត្ត ដែលជាផ្នែកមួយចំណោមផ្នែកដែលឆ្លាក់មិនទាន់ចប់នៅសតវត្សទី១២ ហើយក្រោយមកត្រូវបានឆ្លាក់បំពេញនៅសតវត្សទី១៦ ក្នុងអំឡុងរាជកាល ព្រះបាទអង្គចន្ទទី១។ ចម្លាក់នេះបង្ហាញពីក្រុមនារីកាន់គ្រឿងតង្វាយ និងស្លៀកពាក់សម្លៀកបំពាក់ដែលមានគ្រឿងលម្អយ៉ាងប្រណិត។

ចំណុចដែលគួរឱ្យចាប់អារម្មណ៍ជាពិសេស គឺការពាក់ «ស្បៃ» លើស្មា គ្របដណ្ដប់ផ្នែកខាងលើនៃរាងកាយ និងមានជាយទម្លាក់ទៅក្រោយខ្នង។

ចម្លាក់នេះផ្ដល់នូវភស្តុតាងជារូបភាពដ៏មានតម្លៃ សម្រាប់ការស្វែងយល់អំពី សម្លៀកបំពាក់ ការតុបតែងខ្លួន និងការបង្ហាញអំពីពិធីការនៅកម្ពុជាក្នុងសតវត្សទី១៦ សម័យក្រោយអង្គរ។

Sbai Depicted in a Bas-Relief at Angkor Wat

This bas-relief is located in the eastern section of the Northern Gallery of Angkor Wat, one of the areas that remained unfinished in the 12th century and was later carved in the 16th century, during the period associated with the reign of King Ang Chan I.

The scene depicts a group of female figures carrying offerings and wearing finely decorated garments.

Particularly noticeable is the elegant cloth draped over the shoulder and across the upper body, known in Khmer as ស្បៃ (sbai).

The relief provides valuable visual evidence for understanding clothing, personal adornment, and ceremonial representation in Cambodia during the 16th-century post-Angkorian period.
