Anak Sanjak Sridharadevapura was a distinguished military commander dedicated to the defense of the capital, Yasodharapura. During the reign of King Yasovarman II, he joined forces with Anak Sanjak Arjuna to valiantly suppress the rebellion led by Bharata Rahu, who sought to usurp the throne. In this ultimate sacrifice for the kingdom, Anak Sanjak Sridhara perished on the battlefield alongside the royal prince, Sri Srindrakumara.

In profound recognition of his meritorious service and supreme sacrifice for the nation, King Jayavarman VII posthumously bestowed upon him the noble title of "Amteng." Furthermore, the King commissioned the construction of a divine statue named "Vrah Kamrateng Jagat Sridharadevapura" as his spiritual representation, enshrined within the northeastern tower of the Banteay Chhmar Temple.

It is pertinent to note that "Anak Sanjak" was a high-ranking title reserved for elite military officers and royal confidants in whom the King placed his absolute trust. These individuals were characterized by their unwavering loyalty and their readiness to lay down their lives to protect the Sovereign and the Kingdom, epitomizing the heroic spirit of the Anak Sanjak of the Angkorian era.
