Khmer traditional grilled beef with prahok sauce(Cambodia Traditional Beef Steak)

Welcome Khmer Housewife This is a Khmer fanatic in this Website, I want to show you a delicious Khmer dishes! Get away from foreign cuisine and know how to combine ingredients, how to mix things and how to do it. 

៙ Ingredients:

1- Roti flour or Bicheng powder 1/2 teaspoon

2- 1/2 teaspoon sugar

3- 1/2 teaspoon salt

4- 3 peppers (we can add as you like)

5-Garlic 1 tuber

6-Khmer Prahok 50 grams

7-Khmer beef with fat for roasting 0.5 kg (can be taken on this)

8- 5 eggplants

9- 3 lemons

10- 4 stems of lemon leaves

11- 3 grams of all kinds of fertilizers

12-Butter (frying oil) 50 ml.

13-10 ml of boiling water


៙ How to make prahok juice:

1- Roast peppers and garlic with a little boil and set aside.

2-Cut the eggplant into pieces and remove.

3- Chew prahok and put it in a bowl

4-Slice the lemon and put it in a bowl.

5-Hanji all kinds and put in a bowl


លាយ Start mixing prahok juice:

6- Beat peppers, garlic, salt, rhododendron or baking powder, sugar together to a fine powder.

7- Add all kinds of eggplant, fertilizer and prahok and mix together

8 - Then put the bowl and squeeze the lemon and pour boiling water into it, stir to taste to see the desired taste Set it aside.


៙ How to roast beef:

1- Wash the beef thoroughly

2- Han is a big wheel, about 3 handles (finger length)

3- Add a little salt and can add a little pepper.

4- Heat the pan and add butter or cooking oil.

5- Then add the beef

6- About 4 to 5 seconds back to one side (usually cooked in a small amount of blood, but can be boiled as needed)

7. Cut the beef into thin slices and place on a flat plate.

8. Take the mixed prahok juice and pour it on top as you like.
